Yukiko Nishino

1989年生まれ。

大阪芸術大学映像学科で映画制作を学んだ後、マサチューセッツ芸術大学大学院にて実験映像を中心に学ぶ。

出会った時に感じる「記憶」は、言葉では表すことができない質感を含んでいる。

「人と話すこと」を大切にし、多くの声を録音するという手法を用い、映像を作成する。

「作品」として、その人の記憶、存在を残しておく。それが自身のアイデンティティの研究になり、存在意義となり、「記憶」そのものとなる。

Born in 1989 in Osaka Japan, Yukiko Nishino is an artist who explores identity and memory through silkscreen prints, oil paintings, films, and digital videos. 

Nishino earned a BFA in the Filmmaking School at Osaka University of Arts (OUA) and an MFA in Film and Video at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. 
At OUA, she absorbed the conventional Japanese film style of the form associated with her narrative based art films and videos. 

Nishino’s work delves into female identity and the subconscious, blending personal and collective experiences. Her art reflects layers of memory and self-perception. She currently lives and works in Tokyo.
